ADVENTURES

Time for me to fly…

I highly, highly recommend you look it up and give it a listen. Oldie but a goodie, and SO fitting!

If a teenage Jonas Brothers lyric wasn’t telling enough, I’ll give it to you straight – I’m nearly in my 29th year of life and the more I reflect on the past, the more I realize there isn’t much to think about!

Don’t get me wrong – I’ve had a fair share of experiences, but much of my life has been school or work, or school AND work, and I’m not so sure if either of those have anything to do with what makes me happy.

Now, I know what you may be thinking. I’m just another millennial trying to eat, drink, and be merry without any effort because YOLO, and I’ll regret not setting myself up for a comfortable life by saving instead of spending. And that’s a fair judgement.

But I’ve spent so long trying to push through with the hope that I can one day do all the things that bring me joy instead of just doing things that bring me joy! And in the wake of an unexpected death in my family, I’ve come to realize that I’m wasting time waiting for a future that is unsure.

While I’m in no situation to quit my job as a teacher to travel the world, I’ve decided to transfer to a school with an abnormal schedule, which will allow me to travel more frequently during off-season travel times. Savings, who?

Follow me on my adventures, from switching schools (and grade levels) to traveling to leaving my comfort zone – it’s time for me to fly!
